You are pretty much echoing what I was saying gobigred...he wins when he is supposed to win and sometimes when he is not....he often loses when he is supposed to lose but sometimes he does not, pretty simple...glad we could agree. I think what you said about Colley making certain players better is true but cannot be completely bestowed upon him alone...Ben Sutherland has been a mainstay and a great teacher of lineman over the years...guys like Don Hill and Joe Fuller played a part...Brad Counts and Mike Owens are helping out now although i don't see them having much influence but I don't play so I could be wrong...In addition Larry Compton was one of the best defensive coaches this area has ever saw, no ifs ands or buts.

Dewayne Stanley is an awesome defensive coordinator. We're at a small school so to say we don't have a good coaches when we field a good team year in and year out is dumb anyway

Yeah it seems Dwayne is doing a good job but I'm not yet sold on the 4 man front at this point...the jury is still out, we've had some success but he cannot be talked about in the same breath as Larry yet when it comes to coaching defense.
Yeah Haysi is a small school but have been really lucky with the inordinate amount of talented players who have came through and what they have been able to contribute...most of the credit has to go to that but yes the coaching staff has done a good job over the years no doubt.

I agree BGJ you can't mention Dewayne Stanley in the same breath as Coach Larry as def. co. Dewayne does pretty good job but his defense's don't seem to be an attacking defense more of a bend don't break D.
